Private Schools inaugurates the Fourth Edition of Scientific Competition

H.E Nasser Al Sibaani, the Deputy Head of Public Authority for Radio and Television presided over the launching ceremony of the fourth scientific competition of private schools for the academic year 2017 and 2018 last Thursday and in presence of Fatma Nawrani, the Director General of Private Schools in MOE, Departments Heads, Sections Heads and others. It took place in Ahmed bin Majid Private School Theater and organized by the Supervision and Evaluation Department. Thirty-five private and global schools participated in the competition and from five educational governorates for the first time such as Muscat Directorate General, AL Batinah South Directorate Governorate, Al Batinah North Directorate General, AL Buraimi Governorate and Al Buraimi Governorate. Also, the scientific competition targeted 220 students in seven and eighth classes in bilingual schools.
Moreover, the competition aimed to spread the scientific competition among students to raise the school achievement level, acquire the students with knowledge and specialized scientific skills, strengthen the valuable scientific aspects to be activated through competitive competitions and activities, encourage the school subjects teachers to create effective teaching methods and provide diverse questions bank for the targeted various school stages.
In addition, the inaugurating ceremony included the Ministry´s Speech, which delivered by Nabeel al Khanbashi, the Director of Evaluation and Supervision Department where he emphasized on the importance of organizing such competition as one of many educational activities that conducted by the department. He also added that the competition lasted for three years and which included monolingual and bilingual schools in Muscat Governorate only but the current competition included various education governorates. Also; the ceremony covered opening competition implementation that competed between Al Enjaaz Private School and Private National School.
