The Ministry of Education represented by Citizenship Department organized a Dialogue session to discuss the education sector in Oman vision 2040 under patronage of HE Dr Hamoud bin Khalfan Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education and Curricula, with the presence of representatives from the Future Vision Office(Oman2040) in the Supreme Council for Planning and employees of the ministry. Dr Yousif Al Bulushi, Economist at Future Vision Office, started the session by a presentation that showed the difference between the vision, strategy and plan. He also explained the vision aims and divisions of committees, their roles, members belonging to the vision and their roles. Dr. Badr bin Hamoud Al Kharousi, Director General of Human Resources Development at the Ministry of Education and the representative of Human and Society Committee in the Vision Office, reviewed the developments facing the education sector and the importance of pre-school education as a foundation of education in the country rather than a luxury. The participants also expressed their hope that the future vision (Oman 2040) will witness major developments in various fields, especially the education sector, which is an important axis in shaping the personality of the individual, his level of culture and his ability to deal with the various changes taking place in the world.
