MoE Conducts Evaluation Bag in Sciences and Math Training Program in Muscat

The Ministry of Education represented by the Directorate General for Curriculum Development, Applied Sciences Curriculum Department implements a training program of evaluation bag (1-4) at sciences and math subjects for four days currently. Thirty employs from different departments and directorates such as Directorate General of Curriculum Development, Directorate General of Education Evaluation, Education Supervision Departments, Education Directorates and Specialized Centre for Professional Training of Teachers. Also, it took place in the Specialized Centre for Professional Training of Teachers in Ghala. The training program aims to prepare competent cadres to train teachers on evaluation bag (1-4) using evaluation methods and new curriculum at sciences and math. Also, two experts from Cambridge University in both sciences and math subjects present the program with English translation to ease the communication between the experts and participants. Moreover, the first day program includes five sessions. The 1st se session includes a presentation of program timetable and the second session talks about evaluation theories to clarify the importance of effective education and learning process and study the evaluation process in educational system for class (1-4).Also, the third session discusses the use of certain sentences in the formative calendar such as #I can’ and explain them to students on how these sentences connect with educational objectives. The fourth session focuses on #I can# for skills which aim to clarify how to use # I can # to solve problems in math and sciences. Whereas the fifth session includes the general discussion to stand on the sessions, (1-4) contents and prepare for the next day. In addition, on Thursday, the training program will discuss various issues such as the diverse evaluation methods and connect them with math and science subjects, lesson plans with (I can) sentences, feedback and the overall discussion.
