HE Dr. Hamoud bin Khalfan Al-Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education and Curricula, kicked off the electronic application “My Destination” yesterday at Omar bin Al Khattab Institute for Blind, in presence of Ali Al Thuhli, Director General of the Directorate General of Educational Programs, and sponsoring companies, LNG Company and Omantel Company. “My Destination” is an electronic application to organization and follow up the school bus routes and provision the safety to students with disabilities, which will be available in mobile phone shop for Android and IPhone.

The application aims to follow up school buses through the tracking system(GPS). Moreover, the program included a presentation of educational projects and initiatives for special education programs which need to finance from private institutions sector, delivered by Tarek Al Kaharousi, Assistant Director of Education Program. Also, Fayza Al Hatalia, from Omar bin Al Khattab Institute, presented a speech explaining the main idea of application.

At the end, Dr. Hamoud bin Khalfan Al Harthi, the sponsor of the event kicks off the application officially and honored the contributors of support the initiatives and projects of Omar bin Al Khattab Institute for Blind, and he also Visited a number of facilities of the Institute.
