Special Education Schools Events Kicked off in the MoE Cabinet

Under the patronage of H.E.Dr. Humood Al Harthi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education and Curriculum ,the events of the special education for the academic year 2016/2017 kicked off in the Ministry#s Cabinet with participation of 150 students who represented various cases from special education such as cognitive, hearing and physical cases .This event aimed to introduce the educational society with the importance of such category in the society, highlighted the role of schools and clarified the diverse activities that played the students in the special education in different fields.
Moreover, the event started a speech delivered by Nabil Al Khanbashi, the Director of Evaluation and Supervision Department for Special Education where he clarified that the special education must emphasize to take care of the special education students, adapted the curriculum and the teaching methods in which it was appropriate for their needs and integrated them with their peers into the public schools with providing their teachers with scientific support and training. Also, he added that the Evaluation and Supervision Department excreted efforts to open special education classes of various fields, conducted outdoors distances controls and followed up students in schools. After that, the student, Mnaar Al Abri,said the poem in English, Hamad Al Wihaibi also said another poem(Al Midaan).Then, Al Qimah Private School presented a play about special education students .In addition, Dr.Al Harthi, opened an expo that reflected the important activities of special education schools of caring about special education students category. At the end, the patron of the occasion honored the participating schools.
