The Directorate General of Education in Dhofar Governorate, represented by Educational Programs Department begins celebrating the awareness events of Down Syndrome in Gardens Mall in Salalah for two days. Also, Down syndrome students, disables student’s families and individuals from national associations, schools, institutions and ministries. Moreover, the event includes distributing introductory awareness brochures, conducting various corners such as Consult Me, Students Work Expo and Health. Also, the participant’s students, supervisor’s teachers, parents and the sponsors were honored in the celebration.       
Safa Bait Saleem, the Head Section of Special Education at Dhofar Directorate said that the program came in coinciding with the World Down Syndrome Day under the logo (My Voice My Society) and which aimed to introduce the community with Down Syndrome, activates the awareness and cultural role within the society individuals and assess the self-confidence and their abilities among. the disables
