Dhofar Directorate Celebrates the International Ear Care Day Today

The Special Education Section at Educational Programs Department in Dhofar Directorate held a ceremony to celebrate the global day for ear care which marks the 3rd March every year. The ceremony was under the patronage of Dr.Fatma Al Ghasaani ,the Educational Programs Head ,in presence of a number education supervisors and the stuff at the special education field , Students with hearing impairments and their parents .
At the beginning, Safa Aed Al Jaleel, the Head Section of Special Education delivered a speech where she mentioned that this event aimed to spread the awareness of ears and hearing aids for students with hearing impairments in order to achieve the success of educational plan in enunciation and hearing programs. Also, she talked about the procedures of cochlear implants operations and the private and governmental sector #s role at this field. Then, Khalid Kamal Issa, the Enunciations Specialist presented a worksheet titled (The role of using hearing aids in improving enunciation for students with hearing impairments) and Dr.Mahmood Zayed ,the Director of International Al Awael Centre for Qualification also discussed another work paper titled ( Hearing aids and its uses).After that, the attendances watched various participations with signal language implemented by Hani Aed Al Fatah and Hna Hussain ,Hearing Merge Teachers. At the end, the patron of the ceremony honored the outstanding students with hearing impairments, their parents and teachers.
