On Thursday, February 16, 2012 His Excellency Undersecretary for Educational Planning and Human Resource Development and his accompanying delegation visited a number of Uzbek schools and universities to see the Uzbek experiment in education.
The visit program started by visiting Tashkent National School where the delegation toured in all school facilities, which includes learning resource center, gym, biology laboratory, physics laboratory and Chemists Laboratory. They also attended some classes and meetings with students and educators to exchange experiences. It is worth motioning here that the school was established in 1898 and it includes 1898 students and 163 teachers and it is called secondary public school.
Then the delegation saw Uzbek vocational education by visiting Light Industrial Vocational School in the field of design and sewing. The school aims to connect the output to the labor market. Students after ninth grade can attend these three years schools which are called specialized Secondary Schools.
The program included a visit to Tashkent University and College of Technology that have been created in collaboration with University of Toronto in Italy which is specialized in developing electronic and automotive technology.
