Value Week has started yesterday morning under the auspices of Sheikh Jabir ben Mousa Al Abri, Ministry of Education Advise for hygiene and health in school environment competition. The opening ceremony was held in the training centre great hall in North Sharqiya.
Saif bin Mubarak Algelndani, Deputy Director of Human Resources Development to enhance performance presented the objectives of the value week, its importance and the program of the week. He said that the week aims to achieve many goals, including integration of curriculum with customs, traditions and values of Omani, highlight Islamic values displayed by Omani citizen like tolerance, volunteerism and cooperation, give students the fundamental skills of constructive dialogue and positive participation in solving problems they face in school life and practical life as well as achieving effective community partnership between home and school.
Faisal bin Ali Al Busaidi spoke about the ethics of using modern technologies through his paper about changes in the world of Internet to exchange e-mail and sites. AlBusaidi explained the influence of technology on human thought. He gave examples of virtual sites and digital games. Busaidi stressed on the need to protect student from these influences and directing them to the positive side of the technology.
