The Directorate General of Education at Al Sharqiyah North governorate held a celebration cermony to honor the students and supervisors of Our Duty to Maintain Our Country Initiative at Saih Al Afyah Basic Education School in Ibra .The school was the winner of the 2nd freindy students initiatives competition which was supervised by the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States within 16 winning schools from various GCC countries. The ceremony was under the auspices of HE, the Shaikh Saqar bin Sultan Al Shaikaili ,the Wali of Ibra , Parents Council´s  Chief , in presene of Hamad Al Sarhani ,the Director General of Education Directorate in Al Sharqiyah North Governorate and others. The honoring ceremony included a poem and a presentation of the project and at the end of ceremony the patron honored the participating students, project supervisor and sponsors.   

In addition, HE, the Shaikh, Wali of Ibra said that the wining of the school regional competition was considered as a big achievement for the school, the educational governorate and the Sultanate. Also, he added that this initiative was our pride to be achieved such result and as parents we must honor the students.  Moreover, Yusra Al Harthiah, English Teacher and Winning Initiative Supervisor said that this initiative aimed to promote the citizenship and love the country at the school environment and local society within awareness programs, social media networks, targeted publications and live events.
