Al Dhahra Directorate Conducts a Training Workshop about Educational Robot EV3

Department of Applied Science in Al Dhahra Governorate represented by IT Supervision Unit organized a training Workshop about educational robot Ev3 on Sunday morning, April 3, 2016 which will last for three days. The workshop targeted IT teachers from various schools in the Governorate and it aimed to acquire trainees the skills of production service mechanism and programmed devices, as well as employing design skill and installation of educational robot and train students in IT subject. In addition, Mrs. Badria Al Shukria, IT Teacher at Fida Basic Education School, presented a number of worksheets such as, identify the components of the robot bag EV3, construction and installation of the robot and explain the program lego Mindstorms Education EV3. Also the program included practical applications for all of these skills. Moreover, Mrs. Badria said that the workshop enriched teacher with information and expertise and being able to acquire the necessary skills in teaching the robot in the curriculum of seventh grade. 
Badr Al Farsi, IT Teacher at Abdullah bin Zubair Basic Education School mentioned that the workshop enhanced students' skills in many fields, such as program and math subject. Also it supported the self-learning and included a lot of readymade lessons in designing and programming.
