Genetic Blood Diseases Forum for School Health Nurses

The Directorate General of Health Services in South Al Batinah represented by the School Health Department in Willayet Al Maawel in collaboration with the Directorate General of Education in Governorate of South Al Batinah  and Habra Sports Team conducted genetic blood diseases forum under the logo "a Step for  Prevention is better than Journey Pain " in  Al Bailasan Hall at Habra Village, under the auspices Mr. Nasser Al Bahri, member of state councilor and in presence of  Mohammed Al Abri, the Director General of Health Services of  South Batinah,  a number of officials , doctors, school administrations, school health nurses and parents. 
The forum aims to raise awareness of health and genetic blood diseases in the Omani society and to introduce adults to the importance of screening before marriage, also  to
introduce the genetic blood diseases and  it’s symptoms and prevention methods and  to clarify the role of school health. In addition, the forum included many events, such as Holly Quran, welcoming Poem and other events. After that, Munira Al Hinaiah, Head of School Health Department in South Al Batinah confirmed about the importance of school health services for the provision of health information and knowledge among school students and awareness of genetic blood disease transmitted from parents to children.
 Moreover, the event included lectures that had modern information and statistics of genetic blood diseases and how they are transmitted from parents to children presented by Dr. Salam. Canadian Prime genetic blood diseases Hospital Centre of Sultan Qaboos University and Ruqaia Al Mawali, the Technical laboratory of health center. At the end of forum, all participants were honored for contributes which lead to success of forum.
