The Ministry of Education applied many of educational programs that targeted to prepare a generation who could participate actively at the society development process and able to deal with various aspects of life, and benefit from all the knowledge resources. ''Julie Phoenix'' is one of the applied programs. It is a global program of teaching English reading and writing skills. It also implemented in a number of recycle one schools at the Sultanate and it reflected positively by improving students' achievements' level in English subject as well as it succeeds to change students' negative perception towards learning English. Mr. Salim Al Kharusi, Director of Human Sciences curriculum development department said that the program aimed to raise students' achievement levels in English subject by teaching them English letters serialized by vocal exits and using them in short sentences. Then, Mr. Yahya Al Jahwari explained that the Ministry experienced the initial phase of the program in four schools of recycle one in different educational Directorate. The program applied for basic class one and basic class two in two semesters of the academic year. A training also provided for members of the English curriculum, supervisors, teachers, and senior teachers about methods of teaching English reading and writing skills by using the audio program ''Julie Phoenix''.
