Within the preparation for (PIRLS 2016), 800 students in grade four of 28 schools do the second pilot exam on 4th April, 2016. The exam will consist of two parts: Art & Information. ''PIRLS'' is organized once every five years and it aims to measure reading comprehension skills and it is done in the mother language of the participated country. It targets to compare the Sultanate students' level in reading skills with the other participated countries and identify strengths and weaknesses aspects in reading skills in order to enhance the strengths and address weaknesses and create a plan that contribute to develop students' capacity in reading comprehension. It is to be mentioned too that the study targets students of grade four for the academic year 2015/2016 for the reason that grade four represents an important growth point shift in the child reading skills. The participated schools were chosen by the International Association for Educational Achievement Evaluation that previously provided by MOE.
