HE.Sheikh Ahmed Al Falahi Launches Scientific Bag Project in Muscat

HE. Sheikh Ahmed Al Falahi, Advisor at MOE, presided over the ceremony of launching scientific bag and honoring the winners of "We live with Electricity ", in presence of Engineer Abdullah Al Badri, Executive Head of Muscat Electricity Distribution Company and others at Al Ulaa Basic Education School in Bausher.  .This celebration was in collaboration with Directorate General of Education at Muscat and Muscat Electricity Distribution Company.
The celebration included welcoming songs and poems .Then, Saleh Al Jabri, Director of Communication and Sustainable Department, delivered the company´s speech where he clarified that the scientific bag which being launched in Muscat schools contained materials to carry out various scientific experiments that works by diverse sources like solar system and   which suit different age groups of students. Moreover,  he added  that project came under a memorandum of understanding signed between the Muscat Electricity Distribution Company and the Ministry of Education represented by the Directorate General of Education in November 2014 at Muscat. He mentioned that there were other projects that company supported during the past and current year such as, the “The book portfolio” and “We live with electricity” competition. On the other hand, Fahad Al Hosni, Assistant Head for Training and Career Development in Human Resources Department in Muscat, said that the Ministry adopted the idea of scientific bag from Educational IT Section, Education Aids Division and Muscat Electricity Distribution Company supported the project. It provided one scientific bag for each school. The scientific bag included connections and pieces to make scientific experiments in order to acquire the knowledge of electrical circles and its types. Also, the bag provided a number of lessons related to the electricity and will be displayed for students theoretically to give the opportunity to students for application directly and tangibly.     
In addition, the patron of the celebration delivered the appreciation certificates to the participating schools at the competition "We live with Electricity" and winning students were also been honored.
