North Al Batinah concludes Student Debates, Speech Art and Standard Speak Competition

The final competition for Student Debates, Speech Art and Speak Classical concluded yesterday at Sohar University with participation of more than 220 students from Al Batinah North School under the patronage of Dr. Ali Al Harrasi, Director General of Education in North Al Batinah, in presence of Dr .Mohammed Al Muqbali, Chairman Assistant of Sohar University and others.
First of all, Saeed Al Farsi from department of student activities delivered a speech on this occasion pointed out the importance of these two competitions at the Ministry level and Governorate of North Al Batinah, the fact that the finalist of these compititions represents the Sultanate in Egypt for speech and State of Qatar for debates. Also, he mentioned that the educational activities helped in develop the student talent in these two competitions.
Furthermore, he pointed out that this competition came within the import of MOE to create educational and learning resources to support the curriculum and enrich the Omani student vocabulary and application of the language in daily life. The ministry made this annual competition on the level of the Sultanate and participated at the level of Arab countries , Arab Republic of Egypt for the students of the tenth and twelfth grade and it aimed to achieve many goals, such as  increase  speaking level of standard Arabic with the student, develop their abilities expressionism and interactive to express thoughts and opinions and build personal persuasion to be able to influence the interpretation and application of student and the grammar properly during the conversation and debate.
At the end, Dr . Ali Al Harrasi honored the winners in the competitions and qualify to compete at the level of the Sultanate, as well as honored teachers supervisors who trained student. Also, honored the members of the jury and Sohar University for their support in the competitions.
