Dr.Madiah Al Shibaniyah Sponsors Oman National Day at UNESCO

The Permanent Delegation of the Sultanate to UNESCO held a reception on the occasion of the 45th National Day under the auspices of Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, Chairperson of the Omani National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, in the presence of Irina Bokova, UNESCO Director-General, and Dr Samira bint Mohamed al Moosa,  Sultanate’s Permanent Delegate to Unesco
HE.Dr.Sameera Al Moosa mentioned that the Sultanate always made the culture of peace and sustainable development as its main important targets. She also pointed out HM efforts to establish the peaceful living at the area to make Oman an example of stability and progress. Then, she explained that Oman adopted the modified situations to be able to play its role as a broker to facilitate the dialogue within the cultures and seek diplomatic and professional efforts alongside with preserving Omani civilization which based on the mutual and peaceful respect within the spreading conflict at various areas in the world.    
After that, the Shield of Tolerance, Love and Peace was presented to UNESCO , which Symbolizes the nature of diversity and Plurality of the world  with its religions and cultures and the Sultanate´s role to establish the tolerance policy and consolidate peace among people. Moreover, the Director General of UNESCO praised the efforts that have been excreted by the Sultanate at various aspects that related to education, science and culture and its continuous support of the international organization to play its required role. Also, the exhibition of (Cultures Dialogues) with Omani talents ´s participation was held alongside the celebration .It aimed to introduce the civilization role of Oman in spreading peace and dialogue´s culture among the diverse countries in order to reach common formula of living within countries and individuals' level.  
On the other hand, the Sultanate took part in the high level meeting to adopt and launch the framework of education 2030, where Dr.Sameera delivered a speech that addressed the role of the Sultanate to fulfill the sustainable development at educational field as essential criteria for civilization standards for nations.  Also the Sultanate obtained the approval of characters' celebration that UNESCO participated of the Omani scholars Abi Mohamed Abdullah Bin Mohamed Al Azdi ( Ibn Al Dhabi) and Abdullah Al Salmi.      
Is also to be noted that the workflow of UNESCO general conference will continue to the 18th of the current month, in presence of the ministers and officials of the member countries for negotiating at the international issues that related to the organization´s specializations in order to specify the future general policies at the fields of education, culture and sciences.
