Al Batinah North Achieves the Largest Proportion of Finalists to the Second Level of National Chemistry Olympiad

Directorate General of Education in Al Batinah North Governorate, represented by HR Department, honored elite students in National Chemistry Olympiad program under the auspices of Sheikh Isa Bin Humaid Al-Shibli, Assistant Director General for Planning and Development of HR & IT, with presence of many directors at the Directorate hall in the Governorate.
The honoring ceremony held to appreciate students' great efforts in the competitions of the National Chemistry Olympiad first and third level. The ceremony included one student of the third level, twenty nine students of the first level and also teachers who supported students and supervisors who explained the Olympiad academic subjects.  
 The ceremony inaugurated with a speech given by Mr. Ibrahim Abdullah, Head of Applied Science Department. Then, Osama bin Abdullah Al Zaabi, Senior Supervisor of Chemistry, presented an introduction about the Olympiad and he reviewed the most important events and educational activities carried out by the program team over the full year in preparing students for National Olympiad exams, which culminated by the achievement of advanced places in the competition. 
Then, Al Hussein Al Ajmi, a student of Al Warith bin Ka'ab School who came in the first place at the Sultanate level, said that the competition allowed students to develop their talents and scientific skills. He indicated that the competition should be covered by all media means and social websites in order to introduce chemistry and show it's important to the society.
Umnia bint Thabi, a student of Um Salama School who came at the first place in the Chemistry Olympiad program, explained that the program helped her to acquire self-learning skills and benefited her as a student doing public high diploma        
So, it is worth to mention that the Directorate General of Education in Al Batinah North Governorate achieved the largest proportion of finalists to the Second Level with a number of 29 students adding.
