Ka'ab bin Zaid Basic Education School won two awards in the competition of Arab Bureau of Education in the Gulf countries for the friendly schools initiatives competition 2015. The school won the first place at the field of scientific initiatives called "Learn, Think & Innovated" entitled "Drop from My School ". It also won an advanced award at the field of social initiatives entitled "Little Twitterer''.

The friendly schools program launched by the Arab Bureau of Education at the academic year 2013/2014 in collaboration with the Ministries of Education in the Gulf countries, therefore Ministry of Education participated by two schools since the academic year 2013/2014.   Ø²y sated" entitled "dschool 

Ka'ab bin Zaid Basic Education School, (8-10) Males, Muscat Governorate.

Saih Al Afyaa Basic Education School, (5-10) Females, Al Sharqiah North Governorate.

The Ministry issued Ministerial Decree No. 112/201 on forming a team could organized friendly schools program. The program targeted to deliver the services and activities of the Arab Bureau of Education to the schools of Arab Gulf countries.

It is worth mentioning that Ka'ab bin Zaid Basic Education School came first in the classification of the Arab Bureau of Education in terms of the number of students and teachers participating in the interactive site of Arab Bureau of Education while Saih Al Afyaa Basic Education School came second.
