Documenting Photographs Electronically Team in Dhofar begins scanning photos
The local committee of the project at Dhofar Directorate started scanning photos of Dhofar this week in Muscat, as part of documenting photographs electronically project. This project aims to document and save photos from extinction and loss.
Ibrahim bin Hamad Al Ghaferi, head of document management system Division in Information Systems Department in the ministry, a member of the central team said that the project is now in its final stage which is scanning all photos in the headquarters of the company implementing the project. He added that the work has been subdivided into different stages. The first stage is related to the ministry and it has begun last week and it is nearly to be completed. The second phase is dedicated this week for Dhofar governorate and AlDakhiliya governorate. In the coming weeks and for a period of approximately two months, we will receive more photos from the rest of the educational governorates. The Executive Team at Dhofar Directorate is currently in Muscat including Arif Ahmed bin Sferrar and Ahmed Mohamed Waheeb Alrazki.
