Ministry of Education Holds a Meeting about Challenges of Climate Change

H.E.Dr. Hamoud Al Harthy, Undersecretary of Ministry of Education, presided over a meeting about challenges in climate change, in presence of their .Excellencies Ambassadors of French and German in Oman. The meeting was with collaboration of Ministry of Education, Embassy of French and Embassy of German in Oman. It targeted to educate the participants about the most important challenges of climate change and its effects on the planet.Aslo twelve students of nine schools, which applied teaching German and French languages, were honored during the meeting.  .
The meeting started with a speech of French Ambassador in which he explained the importance of educating young people about the environmental issues. Then, German Ambassador thanked Ministry of Education for arranging the meeting and mentioned that the issue of climate change is a global challenge for various countries.
 After that, experts from Oman, France and Germany discussed the causes of climate change challenges and its most important impacts on the natural and industrial environment. Then, H.E. Hamoud Al Harthy honored students who got advanced places in learning English and German Languages.
In addition, different aspects were discussed during the meeting, such as involving environmental concepts, climate change in general school curriculum, and addressing the environmental document issued by ESO.
At the end, French Ambassador explained that the meeting has good results and the embassy is ambitious to continue expanding and including a large number of schools.  Then, German Ambassador expressed his happiness to participate in the meeting and indicated that this meeting came within the preparations for the Paris Apex 2015.
