Dr. Darwesh Al Meharbi, Undersecretary of Ministry of Health for Financial and Administration Affairs, in presence of HE. Saoud Al Balushi, the MOE´s Secretary for Education  Planning and Human Resources Development, Dr.Ali Al Bemaani , Vice-President of Sultan Qaboos University and others presided over the opening ceremony of the 7th Acdemic Program of Experienced Teachers which took place in the Conference Hall at SQU Sunday evening. It was organized by the Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate General of Human Resources Development Department and in cooperation with Continuing Education and Community Service Center. 3600 teachers participated at the 7th version of the program aimed to promote the employees abilities and develop their career and scientific aspects of teachers.

The ceremony began with the Holy Quran recitation by Hussain Al Belushi, Senior of Islamic Education in Al Batinah South Governorate .Then Dr.Ali Al Shaili, Head of Omani Studies and the Academic Supervisor of program delivered a speech where he appreciated the educational cooperation between SQU and the MOE and mentioned a number of academic programs that represent this partnership  such as 11 programs at  Bachelor's level, 15 programs at Masters' level, 5 programs at Doctorate´s level and Career Guidance's Diploma. After that, Dr. Bader Al Kharoosi, Director General of Directorate General of Human Resources delivered another speech where he emphasized on  the Ministry's efforts to develop the career and scientific ccapabilities of the teachers through diverse training programs.
He also added that the Ministry of Education works together with SQU to provide various and unique training programs such as English Language Skills Program for the MOE´s stuff, and School Affairs Coordinators Program. Moreover, the attendance watched an introductory screening about SQU.  At the end, the patronage honored the academic program founders.
