Ministry of Education implements First Scientific Competition for Social Studies in Private Schools
Ministry of Education represented by Directorate General of Private Schools implemented the first scientific competition of Social Studies in private schools in Muscat Governorate for the academic year 2014/2015 which will be in two levels; wilayat (Baushar, Muttrah and Al Amrat) and wilyat (Al Seeb) that will last until 15th April.
Saif Al Mahthori, Social Studies Senior Supervisor, mentioned that the aims of this competition are to enhance students’ scientific and learning aspects, spread scientific competition concept between students to raise their grades, link students’ scientific knowledge with their activities and scientific orientation and to encourage social studies teachers to create methods of creative teaching ways. The competition targeted students of grade five and six in private schools in Muscat. The completion’s question contains 1500 questions from grade five and six curricula and they are displayed in electronic screen where each team contains of 4 students.
It is worth mention that the first round of the competitions was completed and they will move to the second round by next Tuesday.
