Globe program commissions take part in 1st regional conference in 2015 in Jordan

The Ministry of Education, represented by the International Education Program Office   participated in the 1st regional conference of the Environmental Globe Program in Jordan during the period (6-9 January). Seven countries from the Far East and North Africa( NENA ) in addition to  Saudi Arabia , Oman , Egypt , Jordan , Palestine , Tunisia and Morocco.        
The opening ceremony was sponsored by the Globe Program Manager who pointed out the    importance of developing environmental awareness within the school in order to prepare scientific researches of various environment causes.  
At the 1st day of the program, the participants dealt with the theoretical aspect of the used protocol, choose protocol location and follow the procedures to complete measurement requirements for each protocol . Whereas, the 2nd day program focused on the field’s visits, so the trainees visited Jordan Valley and Al Karama Dam. The last day was specified to train the participants of how to enter the data of various protocols in e-website.         
It is to be noted that, the Omani delegation was comprised of Yaqoob Al Bloshi and  Maryam Al Rawahi from the Globe Team, Hussein Al Ajmi, Education Supervisor and others . The Globe Program is considered as one of pioneering programs which resulted from the Memorandum of Understanding between the ministry of education and NASA Space Agency.
