Educational Supervision Office in Samael represented by Information Technology Department seeks to develop its affiliate’s skills in the field of computers and Internet in order to increase the ability to detect security incidents. 

Department of Information Technology organized a visit to National Information Security Center at Information Technology Authority, where they met Badr Al Salhi, director of the center.

Al Salhi explained that the main task of the center is to rehabilitate national cadres in the field of computer and Internet to deal with security threats and increase technological awareness among workers in this area in government and private institutions and encourage research and development in the field of information security. He added that the center coordinates with information security centers regionally and internationally.  Also the center adopted the national campaign entitled (towards secure information environment) which aimed to organize a national program to raise awareness of information security to all segments of society.  National Information Security Center has issued manuals aims to spread awareness of information security and how to provide a secure environment for electronic transactions.
 
The visitors then moved to the operating room in which they learn about how the center is monitoring electronic security hacking and threads and how to deal with it. Also they knew about the center’s efforts to alert public and private institutions to fill existing gaps in the systems, which can be exploited by the attacker in order to obtain information to harm the institution. 
 
Mr. Khalid bin  Mohammed Al Siyabi, Head of IT said that such visits, which aims to develop cooperation in the field of information security and to unify efforts to spread the culture of safe use of technical sources are very important.
