Disabled kids go for self-employment and learn how to become an entrepreneur
The National Centre For Career Guidance of MOE and the Special Education Department conducted an edification seminar ‘Ghaytuh’ about self –employment entrepreneur development and training for Al-Amal School students in collaboration with Oman Development Petroleum Company .
The seminar targeted class 10 students’ and their parents ,within a number of scheduled seminars set out by the responsible department in preparation for the actual launching of the program in January.
The purpose of the seminar is to provide the students with information about the ‘Ghaytuh’ program and open doors for self-development and help them develop leadership skills .
Its worth’s to mention that incorporating the special education schools in this initiative is a direct result of feedback drawn from last year’s addition of program; where special needs students contributed effectively to the success of the second version of the program. Candidates from all over the country will attend the training program in Wahet Al Marifaa in Muscat 18/1/2015 to 3/2/2015 .
