The Sultanate represented by Ministry of Education took part in the second session of the Arab Forum for Scientific Research and Sustainable Development in Sharjah in UAE from 19th to 21st of  December 2014. The Sultanate was represented in the forum by HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan Al Tobi,  Advisor to Ministry of Education, on behalf of her Excellency Minister of Education and two members represented Shura Council, Ministry of Education and Scientific Research Council.

The forum seeks to build connection between the Arab countries with International partners, support Arab development initiatives in different fields and offers opportunity to establish partnership between government and private sectors, academic and research institutions on the Arab , regional and international levels.
The annual forum is an embodiment of the decisions made by the Arab league resolutions in regards to  developing schools education, higher education, scientific council, Arabic Language Development Project and the Arab Strategy for scientific and technical research and innovation. The Sultanate’s participation is keen to take advantage of scientific and educational experiences and to share it with Arab counties and international partners in the areas of common interest.
