Schools of General Directorate of Al Dakhiliyah Celebrated the Arabic Language Day which coincides with the 18th of December every year as it is the day when UN approved that Arabic language as an official UN language .
Birkat Al Moz Basic Education School in Nizwa celebrated the Arabic Day by a play called (Trial) which was a dialogue between standard Arabic language and colloquial. The celebration also included number of competitions in Arabic Language.
Jemmah Basic Education School in Bahla carried out a number of activities including school broadcasting program about Arabic Language, distribute brochures about Arabic language day, competitions, workshop entitled (my opinion on Arabic Language Subject book) and the teachers held a session called “review a book” were they presented books in rhetoric and literary texts for analysis and discussions.
In Samayil, Maria Al Qabdia School organized a variety of events started by school broadcasting program about Arabic letters story and the Holy Qurán was revealed in Arabic. The outstanding students presented number of activities and competitions such as types of Arabic calligraphy and the Arabic letters and hand script personality analysis. At the end of the day the outstanding students in the Arabic calligraphy competition were honoured.
