Ruwi Post Basic Education Girls’ School marked the event of  International Volunteer Day (IVD)held on  5th December,  under patronage of Nada Al Jammalih ,member of state council. The school celebration  held in conjunction with the community association comes within advocating efforts for the recognition of volunteers and working with partners to integrate volunteerism into development programming. The event  is organized in cooperation with Dar Al Atta’a Charity, Oman Cancer Association , Ibd’a Al-Basirah Union Group, Al Tammiz Charity , Al Amal Lines Charity, and Himam Charity. 
The day included vigorous events and activities that projects the importance of volunteering work and charity and promote good deeds culture  in the community. The events was embarked with welcoming word by the students, followed by a screen projection about the school’s projects and  achievements in volunteer work field in addition to other experiences of nurses who embraced volunteer work since they were young at school. Then the audience watched a play presented by school girls on the same topic.
Then ,the patron of the event  and school visitors walked through school expo, charity dish, handicrafts workshop made by  school’s students and their parents . The day also included a number of lectures delivered at classes by professionals and experts and active volunteers from the participating institutions .
