Under the auspices of Hamad Al Awfi, pre-school literacy bag
Coincide with Oman Child Year 2012, Directorate General of private schools represented by the Department of educational programs, in collaboration with (UNESCO) celebrated on Sunday at the Ministry's theater in Wattayah inaugurating the pre-school literacy bag under the auspices of HE Dr. Hamad bin Suleiman Al Awfi undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
The perspective of the Ministry of Education is to provide an opportunity for children to sit with their parents in a calm intimate atmosphere, enrich children linguistically and mentally. The literacy bag aims to find solutions to problems that children might be exposed to and cause fears satisfactory. It also aims to develop child's imagination, enrich the art of dialogue and discussion among children. The literacy bag project contains (200) bags, each bag contain (4) stories for children and a guidebook for parents, and it also contains exercises for parent to do with their children after they finish reading the story for them.
