The Ministry of Education  represented  by the Directorate General of Curriculum Development  takes part in Oman Geospatial Conference 2014  held at Oman Expo Centre . The Expo and conference was inaugurated yesterday under the patronages of  His Excellency Mohammed bin Nasser al- Rasbi, Secretary General of Ministry of Defiance. 
The MOE´s participation came to highlight  the excreted efforts to use and spread the application of Geography book and modern techniques using ( Map Window GIS ) Program since 2011  for class (12) throughout the schools; this trend comes within a series of actions carried out by the ministry in the introduction of technology into the curriculum, including the humanities curriculum, and to endow  teachers, supervisors and students with basic skills in the use of GIS software. Moreover , a central team was formed to supervise over the regional affiliated teams working at the educational governorates to follow up the program´s setting out at schools.
