The sultanate represented by the Ministry of Education is participating in the World Robots Olympiad in the Russian Federation from 21st to 23rd November, 2014.The participation in the contest aims to encourage the students to apply thinking philosophy, problem solving, and hand in tasks along with connecting learning to real-life and establish exciting learning experiences. The Olympiad stands as true model for accumulation among various science fields.
The participating teams according to age categories are as follows:
• (10-13) years old represented by Mohamadiah School Team (A) from Musandam Governorate. .
• (13-16) years old represented by Mohamadiah School Team (B) from Musandam.
• (16-20) years old represented by Aminah Bint Wahab School from Musandam.
•  (16-20) years old represented by Abdullah Bin Za’id school form Northern Sharqia Governorate and Moosa Bin Nasseer School in Muscat.
• In the Open category class - Quba’a School from Northern Batinah Governorate (10-13) years old.
•  In the Open category class (13-16) years old - Al Khadhra School from Northern Sharqiah governorate and Aseelah Bint Qaiss and Hail Al Awamir Girls School in Muscat Governorate.
• In the Open category class (16-20) years old - Al Khodh Boys School in Muscat Governorate.
