The Directorate General of Education in Muscat Governorate held an academic achievement committee meeting, chaired by Al Waleed bin Said Al Hanai, Assistant General Director of the Directorate, in presence of Educational Supervision Directors of Qurayyat and directors of departments involved in this aspect.
 The chairman welcomed the committee members and emphasized the role of the committee in following up students’ academic  achievement.  The meeting included discussions about the committee’s missions, the committee’s awareness role, the committee’s working plan, analysis of students’ results during the previous academic year, the sub committees’ visits plans and set a proposal to hold a meeting with heads parents councils in waliyat.
The meeting forwarded a number of recommendations exemplified in organizing a forum for administrators and teachers to come out with unified educational vision to raise students’ academic achievement, set schools visits plan, exchange experiences with academic achievement committees in the educational directorates, arrange exchange visit program between schools of the governorates, prepare thanks letters to schools that succeeded to upraise their students achievement levels , hired an educational experts to organize parents council meeting and prepare studies to raise achievement level.
