With presence of Dr Said bin Salim Al Harthi, Director General of General Directorate of Education in A’Dakhiliyah, the General Directorate of Education in A’Dakhiliyah organized the first educational meeting for principles of private basic education schools and bilingual schools in the governorate in the Educational Training Centre in Nizwa. Dr Said Al Harthi stressed on the importance of such meeting to view the private schools situation within the educational process and the way to improve their performances. Also, he praised the role of private schools to introduce educational services in cooperation with the Private School Department and added that the directorate seeks to overcome the difficulties that face private schools in coordination with various authorities in the governorate. The meeting included a number of working papers in regard to private schools role within the educational process in the Sultanate such as how can private schools participate in educational activities, health requirements in the school environment, aspects of cooperation between the Private Education Department and private schools, performance development in private schools, circulars and new systems. At the end, a discussion panel was held and chaired by Amal Khalifa Al Shukriyah, Deputy Director of Educational Programs Department, where attendees put forward their suggestions and projects for upgrading the level of private schools.
