Raysut Interactive Digital School was opened on Monday under the auspices of HE Sheikh Salim bin Aufait Al Shanafri, Head of Dhofar Municipality, with presence of Hamad Al Rashdi, Director General of Education in Dhofar, Awadh Al Shanafri, CEO of Salalah Methanol Company ,the initiative  sponsoring  company, in addition to number of educators and guardians. 
The opening ceremony included Holy Quran reciting and a film screening entitled (the dream project) prepared by Lamia bint Mohammed, a teacher. The school principal Al Nouf bint Mubarak delivered a speech where she mentioned the idea of building interactive schools that will play a role in developing the education process in the Sultanate. The participants and contributors in the project were honoured. Also, the General Directorate of Education and Salalah Methanol Company presented a memorial gift for HE Sheikh Salim Al Shanfari. At the end, the audience viewed the electronic communication tools project, school blogs and interactive page in Facebook and twitter. Also the sponsor visited the classes to view the teaching process , using electronic board.
