PIRLS 2016 reading skills survey to be implemented for a second time
The Department of Knowledge Development and International Programs, MOE , is participating in the pilot research of International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS), for class four. The program is administrated by international association for education evaluation (IEA). The pilot researching phase will be conducted in six governorates in the Sultanate in March, 2015 ; where the main study is going to be implemented in April,2016.
The results of the survey will assist the decision makers authorities in MOE to stand on real learning system’s outcomes in Arabic language subject, and to pinpoint the strengths and weaknesses points in the curriculum .Its worth’s to note that 56 countries are participating in this study.
