The Directory of Education in Northern Batinah Governorate held a meeting with The Omani French Language learning Centre (LE FRANCE EN OMAN); the meeting gathered the regions superintendent Hamed ben Ali Al-Sarhani with the French Second Cultural Advisor in the French Embassy. The meeting discussed the marketing plan for the center in Northern Batinah and plans to launch activities to activate the center educational role. The Planning and Quality Control Directory in the Ministry of Education is holding a two weeks course (The Dot Net in GIS) in conjunction with the General Directory for Human Resources Development .The workshop sessions involves twenty five members of technical staff in the Department of Education Planning and Statistics and other staff members from affiliated offices across the country.  The course consisted of theoretical content and practical one; being carried out by specialized corporate called (Schedules Training Centre).   
The Flying Educator Committee, a project conducted by the International Educational Programs flew to USA on Friday evening. The committee comprises a number of educators interested in reading development strategies from schools and educational directories. The visit program includes field visits to schools, workshops and outdoor activities.  
The Special Education Section, in the Education Programs Department held a workshop to present experience drawn from the “Visiting Supervisor Project” – to target affiliated staff in The Special Needs Education in Southern Batinah. The program was organized by the International Education Program in MOE; it aims at transferring the experience of likewise schools in New Zeeland to Oman.  
A sign language literacy training workshop was concluded on Monday in Oman Hall at the training center in Al- Buraimi. The course lasted over two weeks and aimed to spread the culture of sign language in society. The closing ceremony was held under the auspices of  Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Mishari Al-Shamsi State Councilor and Mahdi Salih Al Nuaimi, Chairman Deaf Association in Bahrain.  
The Directorate General of Education in Dhofar Governorate organized an administration course “The Management Skills” for Management faculty and head Sections. The course sessions were held at the Heritage Village in Salalah. In partnership with UNESCO the Ministry of Education lead the country this year in marking World Teachers Day, an event that is celebrated annually on the 5th of October since it was set standing in 1994. This year’s theme for the event is "Take a stand for teachers" and planned events include activities to honor the Omani teacher. In pursue of consistent excreted efforts to sustain communication with different spheres and segments of the community; a team from Oman Educational Portal paid a visit to the Continuous Learning and Community Service Centre in SQU. The Regional Consulting Conference of Arab Committees for UNESCO programs concluded its sessions in Al-Bustan Palace Hotel on Monday.
