The Directorate General of Education in Al-Buraimi Governorate concluded the second incentive program for teachers.  The program is implemented by MOE, represented by Directorate General of Resource Development in all Governorates across the country. The first stage of the second incentive program in Al-Dakhlia Governorate concluded its sessions at Golden Tulip hotel in Nizwa. The program conducted by Dr. Humood Fahad Al-Qashan, Dean of Tertiary Studies & Academic Affairs in Kuwait University. The program lunched by   Nasser bin Ali bin Salem Al-Khiary, Deputy Director of Educational Affair Directory .The program targeted nearly a thousand teacher, school headmasters, administrative assistants, departments’ managers, educational supervisors, and affiliated of other administrators in Governorate.    

The Directorate General of Education in Dhofar Gov. and Oman LNG held a business meeting to review business action plans of Interactive Schools Project. The meeting was attended by Mr. Hamed bin Khalfan Al-Rashdi, the Super intendant of Education in Dhofar and Mr. Suleiman bin Saif Al-Kindi the Director of Information Technologies in the Ministry of Education from MOE and Sheikh Ali bin Salih Al-Hashar the CEO of Oman LNG and the joint committee members from both sides. Coinciding with the continuous celebration of the outstanding performance of the governorate schools in the National Schools’ Hygiene and Environment Competition; the Central Committee of the Competition held its forth business meeting in the HR Training Centre .The meeting was headed by the governorate Director General of Education Mr. Ali bin Mohamed Al-Hinai. The meeting minutes discussed the governorate action plans progress and new developments.      

 Active Censorship Program in Al-Buraimi  The General Directory of Municipality and Water Resources in al-Buraimi Governorate in conjunction with the Educational Directory in the Governorate held a ceremony in Oman Chamber in Al-Buraimi to honor active participants of the Awareness Week “Active self-censorship” held from 10-14 Nov.2012”. The Directorate General of Education in Dhofar held the final round of school’s pioneers competitions in Sultan Qaboos School Basic Education (5-10). The final round was held under the patronage of Mr. Salim bin Mohamed Al-Ajeeli, Deputy Director of Planning and Human Resources Directory in the Royal Court Affairs. The winner of the competition was Anas bin Malik School and the second place for East Salalah School.   

The Professional Journalist program of Ministry of Education won the second place in the 4th round of Pro-Journalist Pioneer’s Civil Awards 2012. The winning project “the Professional Journalist Project at schools” was presented on behalf of Ministry of Education by Amal bint Talib al-Jawhry, the First Coordinator of the project. This project stands as a model projects run by joint efforts between civil institutions and private sector and public authorities.   

Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed al-Shamsi, honored member of al-Shura Council, patronized over the launch of Special Needs Education Classrooms at Al-Khaddra Basic Education School (1-4) in Al-Buraimi Governorate. The launch is a part of an awareness campaign aims to promote awareness of community service role and the community responsibilities in regards helping handicapped children by providing support and adjusting proper environment setting .     

Her Excellency Dr. Rawia bint Saood al-Busaidi, Minister of Tertiary Education presided over the Honoring Ceremony of Savvy School Students in Cognitive Knowledge Development Program 2012/2013. The ceremony held in Al-Bustan Palace Hotel, Majan Hall.  Rewards were given out to 389 pupils who excelled in Mathematics, Science and Geography ; in addition to 47 teachers and 38 schools and 38 of the program’s central committee members.  

The Fine Arts Department in the Directorate General of Education in Al-Dhahira Governorate held a symposium for fine arts programs .The symposium presented the outstanding experiences of teachers at district schools for mutual study and experience exchange among teachers.     

The Ministry of Education in conjunction with Shell Company launched the (Education Convection for Environment & Sustainable Development) yesterday. The event was celebrated under the patronage of His Excellency Mohamed bin Salim al-Toubi, the Minister of Environment & Climate Affairs at Crown Blaza Hotel.    

The Ministry of Education, Employee Welfare Department is organizing a two days safari trip to the eastern sands of Wahibah desert. The journey takes in 100 employees from MOE cabinet and its affiliate employees in the Educational Directories across the country.    

  His Excellency Dr. Humood bin Khalfan al-Harthy, Undersecretary of MOE for Education and Curricula, patronized over the launching event of “Those Who Inspire (Oman)” book in the Grand Hall in the ministry cabinet. The authors presented 2000 copies for schools to inspire new generation.  

(Sunday) The workshop on "Civil Service Act and Its Implementing Regulations: Reality and Practice", events concluded yesterday. The conference lasted for two days in Al Falaj Hotel; the conference targeted the financial affairs administrations directors and the ministry legal consultants, and heads of HR departments at the Ministry and the provincial educations.
