The Standing Committee for the Preparation of Educational Seminar and Meetings in the Ministry of education, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Education in Dhofar implemented an educational meeting entitled "Vacations: Legislations, Practices, and its impact on academic achievement". The meeting will be held on next Monday, to be attended by more than 280 concerned participants from the Directorates of education, schools administrators, and teachers from Dhofar and Al-wosta.  

A team from training department in MOE, employee training section, arrived in Al-Wosta governorate to run rating tests for the directory employees. The test is set to categories the employees in preparation for prospected English Language Courses to be held in April and September in conjunction with Polyglot Institute.

The Directorate General of Education in Al-Buraimi Governorate implemented a workshop on composition of raw-material. The workshop held at training center in General Directorate of Education; the event continues for 4 days and aimed at refreshing Arts fine teachers' skills and knowledge on recent development in this field.   

Yesterday, Her Excellency Dr Madiha bent Ahmed Al-Shibaniah; Minister of Education presided over the honoring ceremony of the outstanding students pioneered at the Arab League Countries Schools Oratory Competition held recently in Egypt. The honoring also included student achieved advance levels at the GCC Mathematics Olympics in Qatar. In the framework of the annual plan of the academic achievement supervisory commission of MOE, a delegation arrived in Nizwa to meet its counterpart committee in the governorate. The meeting was held at the Higher Institute for Jurisdiction in Nizwa; where they reviewed the region's plenary action plan and programs for academic enhancement at schools "reality and challenges" in addition to addressing reading and writing skills issues as focal point of interest.

Yesterday, The General Directorate of Education in Musandam Governorate concluded the evaluation of scout superiority competition on Sultan Qaboos Cup. The evaluation committee headed by Yusuf Ali Al-Husani, MOE advisor and chairman of the competition main committee follow the achievement of scout's team in Wilayat Daba. The event was attended by Mohammed bin Ali Al-Shuhi, Manager of Program Department and commission chief assistant; and members of technical committee.

The events held at Sultan Qaboos sport complex in Bowsher, sponsored by His Excellency Mohammed Hamdan Al-Tubi, MOE advisor. Oman Educational Portal section at General Directorate of Education held a symposium entitled "Oman Educational Portal Services for Parents", sponsored by Khadija bent Abdullah bin Ali Al-Jazmi, Headmaster of Khasab school for Basic Education. The Autism symposium in Nizwa comes out with valuable recommendations .The symposium organized by the Directorate General of Education in the Interior for two consecutive days; where plenty of scientific papers delivered by expertise and aimed at edification of the community about autism illness and disseminate awareness about its syndromes, and early diagnoses and procedures.
