The Fresher’s Teachers Training Program being implanted by the Ministry of Education came to end on Thursday morning 27th June2013. The four weeks program was conducted at the SQU attracted 574 trainees from various governorates.     
The students attending the summer schools center in Northern Batinah enjoyed their time in presence of two famous Omani youths, Ali Al-Habsi and Hamed Al-Wehaibi. The center received the two guests with enthusiasm at The Omani Woman Association Hall in Sohar, where the two famous stars talked to the students and delivered a message on ambition, work and time and other values of achievements and emphasized the importance of learning for better future.
Schools Management school managers in Al-Buraymi Governorate held a conference yesterday morning. The Director General of Education, Moosa Al Hinai, chairman of the conference discussed with schools headmasters the yearly plan for the forthcoming academic year 2013/2014. The meeting also reviewed the reform of in-service training programs for teachers. Thursday, the sessions of third academic training program for long standing teachers came to end on Thursday morning. The program targets 600 old teachers of 13 different humanitarian and applied science school subjects. The program runs at SQU for three consecutive weeks.  
The Ministry of Education, International Education Programs Office, held a celebration at city seasons hotel to mark the success of the second year of “Kids Read” program. The event was held under auspices of Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Abadan Al-Hinai, the MOE advisor for Educational International relationships. Yesterday, the second semester National Diploma Certificate Examinations 2012/2013, started its first exams day where (41793) student undertake the examinations in (355) examination center in different governorates in addition to (18334) student of Continuous Education Programs (adult education).
The Central Committee for Summer School Camps of the Directorate General of Educational Programs held a meeting with its local counterpart committee in Muscat Governorate yesterday. The meeting was chaired by Dr Nassir bin Saleh Al-Kindi, Deputy Director of the Educational Programs in MOE. The two sides reviewed the regional agenda of camps activities expected to roll out on 22nd of this month. Its to note that Muscat Governorate will implement 15 centers with 1500 student across the region.
The Directorate General of Education in Al-Buraymi Governorate held a meeting at Al-Sinainah Hall .The meeting discussed the preparations agenda for next academic year and the formulation of working committees for inventory and schools stocking needs. The Ministry of Education Accounts Department in conjunction with Rikaz International Institute for Financial Studies implemented a training program on modern strategies and technologies for handling accounting offences and financial corruption. The five days program rolled out yesterday (Sunday) at the Institute building in Al Othaiba city and targeted 28 employees from MOE cabinet and affiliated directories across the country. The Directorate General for Special Needs Education implemented a training workshop on principles of discovering handicapped and disabled syndromes in young people mental function and behavior of different kinds .The program held in Majan Hotel from 2nd -13th June2013; the program conducted by trainer Dr. Mohamed Abdurrahman, expert in Education and Psychology diagnoses and Understanding childhood disabilities .   
  Sunday, Dr. Nassir bin Abdullah al-Abri, General Director of Education in Southern Batinah Governorate headed the meeting of Directors of Examinations Centers 20112/2013 at the Directory Head office. The region has completed the final preparations for the National General Diploma Examinations in 39 centers with 7679 students.  
Sunday, the "Training of Fresher Teachers" programs rolled out its workshops to run from (2June -27 June 2013).The four weeks program rolled out by the Directorate General of Human Resources in various governorates across the Sultanate and aims at preparing new teachers to join their colleagues at schools.     
Within the development and reforms efforts, the Ministry of education in cooperation with the directorate General of Education in the southern Batinah governorate installed three modern laboratories at Imam Nassir bin Murshid (11-12) school. The laboratories are specialized for science subjects (Physics-Chemistry and Biology). The modern tech labs endowed with interactive whiteboards, a desktop computer and laptop computer.
