The Directorate General for Human Resources carries out the training sessions of newly appointed educational Supervisors for the academic year 2013 /2014.The courses conducted at Oman Tourism Academy aims at consolidating sound practice and innovative practices of supervisory work at schools. The course is organized by the School Supervisory Division of the Education Superintendent Office. The course deployed targeted more than 230 supervisors across the country and runs up to the next Thursday.

On the first day of 2012/2013 academic year; the schools of Muscat Governorate received (85500) pupils in (145) schools across its six districts. The schools of the Interior Governorate received its pupils on their first day at schools in a calm and well-structured manner. The (193) schools received (77923) students in all education levels. The schools started its day by the morning assembly, putting in prospective that all facilities were set ready, such as classrooms, chairs &tables and desks. The Central Committee in MOE, for Back up and Regional Support conferred with its counterpart in Muscat Education Directory. The meeting headed by Ahmed Abu Baker al-Zubaidi, The Minister Advisor and Ali bin Humaid al-Jahwari the General Director of Muscat Educational Directory and attended by committees members from both sides. The meeting reviewed the overall plans and specification action plans being implemented in Muscat Governorate in preparation for new academic year 2013/2014.     

Training Centre of Sanad Program in Nizwa continued hosting the activities of Tailoring and fashion designing course for school girls from class nine and ten .The course being implemented is the fruit of joined work of the Ministry of Education, the National Vocational Guidance Centre and Ministry of Manpower, Women Training Centers. The course aims to invest in developing student’s skills and develop independent business concepts and entrepreneurs talents.   

The Directorate General of Education in Dhofar Governorate nominated a set of Technical aided support centers for National Diploma graduates 2012/2013 graduates. The centers in full swing starting on Wednesday 17th to 30, July 2013 in an initiative meant to support the students to amend their draft desires for higher education phase (National Draft Centre of Ministry of Tertiary Education) and provide all aids needed including hardware and human assistance. Her Excellency Dr Madiha bint Ahmed Al-Shibania, Minister of Education signed the results of National Diploma Examinations for the academic year 2012/13; where (41737) student took the examinations across the country. The pass results in public schools came (83, 24 %), where the percentage was (95, 51%) for (503) students of bilingual schools. The Technical College of Oman Royal Guards (bilingual) score was (100%). The Islamic Studies Institute score was (100%) and the Special Needs schools with (100%).    

The Ministry of Civil Services implemented an edification awareness campaign seminar in Ministry of Education Cabinet yesterday. Khalfan ben Nassir Al-Wehaibi, General Director of Public and Follow up Service delivered a paper on civil work laws, employees duties and rights. Then another paper by Ahlam bent Hamdan Al-Shikaliah, Legal Scholar, about employees’ rights and duties and promotions, vacation, transfer and scholarships.      

The Vocational Guidance Centre held its third meeting for its affiliated Technical Support teams from various regions. In order to maintain the best working environment for its employee, the Education Management in Al-Wosta Governorate commenced its actions to implement the set plans for teacher’s residency for the forthcoming academic year 2013/2014. A four groups housing committee works in Hayma, al-Duqm, Mahout and al-Jazzir places emphases on current governmental houses maintenance work in addition to overseeing and assessing rent houses and coordinating furnishing work in collaboration with concerned directories in the Ministry of Education.  

Under the patronage of his Excellency Sheikh Ibrahim ben Yahiya Al-Rawahi, Wali of Bousher, the Arabs Scouts Symposium for Arab Scouting Planning Senior Leaders inaugurated its sessions yesterday in the Sultanate. The symposium attended by 12 Arab countries runs from the 3rd to the 7th, June.  

The Handcrafts Departments in Southern Batinah governorate presented an orientation programs on various handcrafts practiced in the region .The summer schools centers management in collaboration with the Handcrafts department worked together to educate the students about recent developments in this field and how to address innovation and maintain genuinely in these crafts.    

The ministry of Education, The Directorate General for Administrative Affairs held an honoring ceremony for Arabic Language Mentors for their outstanding efforts to prepare the students for GCC Education Bureau contests 2011/2012 .The Ceremony was held at Al-Qurm Crown Blaza.
