The Educational Awareness and Students Care Department in cooperation with  Accounts Department and Budget and Sales Department organized ,yesterday morning, a meeting for foodstuff suppliers. During the meeting they introduced health requirements for food, juices, drinks that are allowed and not allowed to be sold in schools canteens.   Malik Al-Mamari, nutrition supervisor in Educational Awareness and Students Care Department in Al Burimi, presented a detailed presentation which showed health aspects and the process adopted to ensure that healthy meals reach schools.

The Sultanate is hosting next April (6-9) the 3rd Mathematics Olympics for the GCC; which is organized by the GCC Educational Bureau. The annual Mathematics competition is being hosted by a member of the group sex members each year where each country is represented by six students to undergo examinations in Mathematics (algebra, geometry and fixtures) .  The Mathematics Olympic competitions aim to honor the competitive behavior and to prepare the members teams for the International Mathematics Olympics (IMO).    

The Central Committee of Sultan Qaboos Award for Scouts Excellence concluded its inspection and evolutionary visits to Al-Dakhiliyah Schools. The committee started its two days visits by visiting Abu_Obaidah School in Nizwa and Al-Shayma School in Adum; on the second day the committee paid a visit to Nasra bint Nassir Al_Yarbia School and Ahmed bin AlNazar School in Samail town. The General Directorate of Curricula Development in MOE concludes today, the training course which lasted for four days with participation of supervisors and technicians of science labs. The events of students’ projects evaluation in Knowledge Development Program for students in Science, Math and Geographic for the academic year (2013-2014) is to be rolled out tomorrow.
