Today Sultan Qaboos School (1-10) at Dhofar governorate organized a competition titled “National Day” as part of the country's forty one National Day celebrations. The competition aims to teach school students in Dhofar how to use Photoshop program. .
The training workshop about Royal Shakespeare Company program Continue at Safeer Intercontinental – Khuwair. It was organized by Ministry of Education, represented by international education programs office, in collaboration with British Council and Royal Shakespeare Company. The activities will continue until Wednesday, 16/11/2011. 
Ministry of Education, represented by Oman Educational Portal won award for best portal in the category of development sectors in  Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in the second competition for Gulf e-government  , which is held in Kuwait in conjunction with second Gulf e-government Conference and Exhibition , which continues until November 15th.  
Arab Centre for Educational Research for gulf countries in Kuwait held an educational workshop on 26/27 Dhul Qa’dah1432, 24/25 of October 2011. It was attended by professional educators from gulf countries as well as heads and members of the team who implements the program. Delegation of Sultanate attended this educational workshop. 
Educational Technologies Department in Dakhiliya Directorate implemented a training program “Intel” adopted by E-learning Department which is related to Educational Technology Department at the Ministry of Education. The program helps teachers to use technology and communication tools in education in the classroom. 
Ministry of Education continues the follow-up visits of the Central Committee of   linguistic performance development to various governorates of the Sultanate. Dakhiliya Directorate received  the members of the Committee under the chairmanship of Dr. Maasouma bent Habib  Al Ajmi and Nasra Al Sofiya and Maryam Al Balochi, two members of the central committee. 
The activities of the communication program between families, schools, community concluded in presence of Said bin Salim Al Harthy, Director General of Directorate General of Governorate of Dhofar, school principals, heads of fathers and mothers councils, educators and students’parents. The program was between 20/10 to 2/11/2011 at Al Saada School. 
Vocational guidance department at the Directorate General in North Batinah organized a training program targeted about 200 vocational guidance specialists in the governorate. 
Recently Dhofar Directorate General in collaboration with the civil defense organized a working paper about the application of evacuation plan in educational establishments. 
Within the framework of the training workshops held by the Information Systems Department at the Directorate General of Information Technology, a training program (my educational portal) began on Monday, 31/10/2011  in the training hall of the headquarters of the Department. 
South Batinah Directorate continue its preparations for the ceremony to receive the first price in the competition for clean and healthy school environment in the Sultanate in  previous academic year. The ceremony will be held at College of Applied Sciences Theatre in Rustaq.  
Buraimi Directorate Celebrated yesterday morning at Al Nahdha Sports Club, Muhadha branch honoring excellent students at Muhadha schools under the banner “our excellence is at our work,". It was organized by Yazeed bin Muhallab School (5-12).  
H.E Dr. Madiha bent Ahmed Al Shibaniah Minister of Education read yesterday the Sultanate word during the General Conference of UNESCO in Paris. She is participating with her accompanying delegation in the work of session thirty-sixth of the conference in the period from October 25 - to November 10, 2011. 
The events of the first sergeant of Advanced Scout camp started this morning, Saturday, October 29th. It is organized by the Directorate General of Scouts and Guides in cooperation with scout commission in South Batinah at Sultan Qaboos camp in Malada. 
H.E Dr. Madiha bent Ahmed Al Shibaniah Minister of Education issued a ministerial decree to form a committee for developing  Islamic culture curriculum of grades 11 and 12, under the chairmanship Hamad bin Salem Al-Rajhi, deputy director of Humanities  Curriculum Development.
