Individual skills department, in cooperation with the Department of vocational guidance, organized an educational meeting targeted vocational guidance specialists at the governorate schools and a number of individual skills supervisors in the field of musical skills, sports and fine arts.

Ministry of Education, represented by South Batinah Governorate Directorate celebrated on Monday 12th of December 2011, to hand over His Majesty’s Sultan Qaboos bin Said cup for Clean and Healthy School Environment Competition for the academic year 2010 / 2011.

The Directorate General of Human Resources Development  represented by the Department of Rehabilitation and Training, Ministry of Education organized  yesterday morning (Tuesday) a Lecture (Innovation in Education) done by Dr. Tariq Mohammed Suwaidan Chairman of creativity in Kuwait at the Ministry’s theatre in Wattaya.

Under the auspices of HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan Al Tobi, adviser to the Ministry of Education, the celebration of Educational Development Journal on the occasion of a decade of issuance was held at Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah resort.

 Salim Al Alwi, adviser to Her Excellency the minister of education for school buildings visited Dehg Dri basic Education School (5-10). This visit aims to determine the suitability of the school to receive students to continue their education during the maintenance. The committee walked in the school to see the facilities and the classes in a comprehensive manner.

HE Dr. Madiha bent Ahmed bin Nasser Al Shibaniah, Minister of Education accredited the management system of privacy records in the ministry, in presence of His Excellency Dr.Hamad bin Mohammed Al Thawyani Chairman of National Records and Archives Authority. They have adopted schedules to retain privacy records and their classification system after approval of the National Records and Archives Authority.

Ministry of Education, represented by Oman educational portal won two awards in the competition of Sultan Qaboos Award for Excellence in e-government services - 2011, which was held on Monday, 12th of December at the Grand Hall, Sultan Qaboos University Cultural Centre.

The activities of the third session of the training program (Intel Teach Program) were concluded at North Batinah Directorate. It was aimed at 25 members of e-Learning division - Department of Educational Technology in Department of Information Technology. The program was carried out in the period from 3/12/2011 to 7/12/ 201.

The second Gallery of Fine Arts (Unlimited Talents) was opened at supervision center in Samael. The opening ceremony was under the auspices of Dr. Saeed bin Saif Al Amri, Director General of Education at Al Dakhilya Governorate.

Among the events and educational activities that refine and develop students’ talents and to coincide with the celebration of the National Day, Jaifer bin Al Julanda Private School established an open day entitled: in love with Oman on Wednesday 7th of December 2011. 

On Saturday 10th of December 2011 a training workshop entitled, training and supervisory skills to supervisors of pre-school education was organized by the Directorate General of private schools represented by the Department of Educational programs, department of pre-school programs.

Under the auspices of H.E Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan Al Tobi adviser to the Ministry of Education, a Regional Meeting about the coasts and the sustainable use of sea resources was held at Majan Hotel at Muscat Governorate.

Recently the decentralized team for new teachers program held the second meeting at the training center at the Directorate General of Education in Dhofar in the presence of Maizon bent Bakheet Al Shahri Deputy Director-General of Education for Educational Affairs.

Ministry of Education received an official invitation to participate at school holiday camp for talented students at talented center in Malaysia. The ministry is represented in this camp by the Directorate General for educational programs. The camp is organized by the National University of Malaysia, (UKM).

 North Batinah represented by Department of educational awareness and students’ care functions discussed teacher supervisor of health and roles of school health nurse, during a meeting held at the Directorate aimed at school teachers, health workers and school health nurse.
