UAE educational delegation visited directorate general of education in Al Dakhiliya governorate to learn about the governorate experience in activities development and the role of school activities specialist.  

Buraimi directorate celebrated yesterday morning military education students open day ceremony for the academic year 2011/2012 under the auspices of His Excellency Sheikh Dhiyab ben Salih Al Ribaie, Wali of Mohadha State and in presence of Mosa ben Ali Al Hinae, Director General of Education in Buraimi governorate.

School principals meeting was held at the main hall in the directorate general of education in Dhofar. The meeting was chaired by Said ben Salim Al Harthi, Director general and in presence of heads of departments. Director General praised school principals’ efforts and then he talked about grade 12 results for the current academic year 2011/2012.

 Under the auspices of His Excellency Mustafa ben Ali ben Abdel Lateef, Undersecretary of Ministry of Education for administrative and financial affairs, a meeting was held to discuss movement rules of teaching faculty and related jobs in the educational directorates.

Oman Educational Portal participated in the Second Educational Festival which was organized by students’ activity group at college of education. Oman Educational Portal was an electronic sponsor of the festival which aims to spread the educational mission and discuss issues of concern to the public in order to investigate the causes and to propose solutions. Under the auspices of His Excellency Saud ben Salim Al Balushi, Undersecretary in Ministry of Education for Educational Planning and Human Resource Development, coordination meeting to support professional development was organized represented by Directorate General of Human Resource to discuss ideas and visions to support professional development programs for ministry’s staff and find solutions. 

Directorate general of education in Al Dhakhiliya governorate celebrated Arab Library Day which was organized by Information Technology Division in the training centre in Nizwa. The celebration was attended by Issa ben Khalef ben Salim Al Tobi, deputy director general of Al Dhakhilya Directorate and Abdullah ben Yahya Al Nabhani, head of information Technology Division.

Innovative Teaching Aids Exhibition was opened yesterday in Nizwa, Al Dakhliya governorate. It was organized by Second field supervisors at Department of Applied Science in the governorate. The exhibition was opened under the auspices of Dr.Said ben Saif Al Amri, Director General of Educational Directorate in Al Dhakhilya governorate and it was attended by supervisors and teachers.

Main committee to assess Scouts and Guides Superiority competition of His Majesty the Great Scout Leader for the current year has started its visit to Al Wusta Directorate. The committee is chaired by Mr.Yousof ben Ali ben Abdullah Al Husni, Ministry of Education advisor.

Technical and Local committee members and Scout and Guides leaders meeting was held yesterday morning at Hafeet Hall in the training centre in Al Buraimi Directorate to prepare for governorate participation in His Majesty Cup in Scouts and Guides Superiority Competition in 2011/2012. 

Final clarification to specify schools in North Sharqia which will represent the governorate in the cognitive development competition next April,

His Excellency Saud ben Salim Al Balushi, Undersecretary of Ministry of Education for educational planning and human resource development visited some schools in Muscat governorate (Seeb) with a number of educators and specialist in the ministry. He met school principals, specialists, teachers and students. 

Her Excellency Dr. Madiha bent Ahmed Al Shibanyah Minister of Education continues her visit for the second consecutive day to a number of Ibri state schools in the directorate general of education in Al Dhahira governorate . She visited with a number of Ministry officials Al Maasarat Basic Education School (1-4), Al Baraem Basic Education School (1-4) and Sulieman Al Ghafri Basic Education School (5-10).

First Sports Tournament in volleyball for Ministry of education employees (female) was concluded last Wednesday’s evening at Sultan Qaboos Complex in Busher. It was organized by Staff Care Department. The ceremony was held under the auspices of Ms.Sana bent Hamad Al Busaidia Director General of Education in Muscat governorate, head of women sports committee in Omani olympics committee.

Umaiah bent Qeis Basic Education School (5-10) in North Batinah governorate got the first place for the largest number of lessons uploaded in the website from a school of educational institution.
