Under the auspices of His Excellency Ali ben Khalfan Al Jabri Undersecretary of Ministry of Information it was opened yesterday (Saturday) the fifth annual forum for media coordinators which was organized by directorate general of education in Dhofar governorate represented by department of public relations and educational media.

Sultan Qaboos School (1-10) organized a number of awareness programs which would give students a vision to help them choose subjects according to their inclination and abilities. Students of grade 10 participated in the program with support of school administration and vocational guidance at Dhofar Directorate.

Her Excellency Dr. Madiha bent Ahmed Al Shibaniyah Minister of Education issued a ministerial degree number (104/2012) to set up committees for academic achievement in the Ministry and in the educational governorates.

My Educational Portal Forum was opened on Wednesday 21/3/2012 which was organized by Al Awabi Basic Education School under the auspices of Mr.Yosuf ben Ahmed Al Kharosi deputy director of planning and training needs. The forum was attended by chairman of parents’ board in Al Awabi, school principals, teachers, parents and students.

It was launched yesterday morning the campaign “We are all Buraimi” which was organized by Educational Programs Department in cooperation with the governorate schools, Buraimi Municipality and Health Services.

Ghassan ben Abdullah Al Kharosi School in AlSuwaiq organized a Scout celebration under the slogan “Unlimited Volunteering”. Participants and organizers showed different definitions of scout brotherhood and the importance of volunteering. Scouting movement in Oman presents a clear image of the noble goals and objectives of volunteerism.

The seminar had a big turnout of more than 200 pedagogy community in town.

Final competitions of cognitive development program in North Batinah witnessed evident interactive and presence of school qualified for the finals. There were 72 students from 12 schools from grades (5-7) and (8-10). The competitions were on science, math and geographical concepts.

At six o’clock (GMT) on Wednesday morning 21st of March started the activities of the International Scout Camp for communication and technology which was organized by Directorate general of scouts and guides. It continued till Friday 12:00 (GMT) 23rd of March 2012.

Under the auspices of Dr.Humood ben Khalfan Al Harthi, Undersecretary of Ministry of Education for education and curriculum, Outward Bound Oman (challenge) was held at the Ministry theatre in Wattaya in presence of His Highness Sayyad Faisel ben Turkey Al Said, Emeritus President of Outward Bound Oman and the participated teams.
