Her Excellency Dr.Madiha bent Ahmed Al Shibaniyah, Minister of Education received in her office in the Ministry on Saturday the president of Sultan Idrees Educational University and his accompanying delegation. They discussed the cooperation aspects in the field of education. Her Excellency mentioned the possibility to train teachers and also cooperation between teachers academic and Sultan Idrees University.

Main committee to organize and manage summer program for the year 2012 held a meeting in the Ministry in presence of Dr.Salim ben Saeed ben Salim Al Bahri, advisor in the Ministry of Education for Relations with Society Affairs. The meeting was held to discuss preparations which were held for summer programs and follow up the steps and plans which were accomplished in the last stage.

Director General of education in South Batinah governorate, Dr.Nasser ben Abdullah met on Wednesday 23rd of May 2012 with principals to discuss examinations’ regulations and requirements of grades and diploma certificate. The meeting was held in the directorate theatre in presence of educational experts, administrators and heads of departments. 

Department of Human Resource Development in Al Dakhiliya governorate organized the final forum for participants in the fourth training course for Arabic teachers in (Nahw and Sarf). The course was organized by Department of Humanities and it targeted 74 teachers. The final meeting was held in presence of Nasser ben Ali Al Khiyari head of department of Human Resource.

Under the auspices of Dr.Humood ben Khalfan Al Harthy undersecretary at Ministy of Education for Education and Curriculum, it was held on Tuesday at Crown Plaza Hotel in Al Qurm the Forum for Social and Psychologist specialists. The forum carried the banner (Towards better vision of social and psychological work in schools).

Oman Methanol Company and directorate of North Batinah governorate celebrated the end of activities of safety, health and environment for the year 2011/2012 and also the open the exhibition related to it at Safeer Mall in Sohar. The celebration was held under the auspices of His Excellency Muhanna ben Saif Al Lamki governor of North Batinah and in presence of Hamed Al Sarhani director general of education. 

Under the auspices of His Excellency D.Humood ben Khalfan Al Harthi undersecretary of Ministry of Education for Education and Curriculum honoring students who participated in the Company Bag Competition on Tuesday. It was organized by the National Center of Vocational Guidance. The honoring was held at Al Falaj Hotel in Ruwi. 

Ministry of Education organized a celebration to honor winners and participants in link classrooms project. The honoring celebration was held under the auspices of His Excellency Dr.Humood ben Khalfan Al Harthi undersecretary of Ministry of Education for Education and Curriculum. It was held at City Seasons Hotel.

Directorate General of Education in South Batinah celebrated on Monday morning 14th of May honoring 124 of excellent students in academic achievement in the first semester for the current year 2011/2012. The celebration was held under the auspices of His Excellency Wali of Nakhal Shaikh Hilal ben Salim ben Ali Al Busaidi.

Al Maarif Private School organized Holy Quran Competition for students of Dhofar directorate for the second consecutive year. The competition was held under the auspices of Said ben Salim Al Harthi director general of Dhofar directorate and in presence of heads of directorates, parents and students under the supervision of the Ministry of Education for the current year 2011/2012. 

Directorate general of education at Dhofar directorate organized a program for research presentations of excellent students in research methodology subject. The program was held at the Main Hall under the auspices of Mayzoon ben Bakheet Al Shuhriyah, deputy director general for educational affairs.

Ministry of Education and United Nations for Population concluded the activities of the training workshop to prepare puppet theatre trainers. The final performance was held under of auspices of His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed ben Hamdan Al Tobi, adviser in the Ministry of Education

The joint committee between Ministry of Education and Sultan Qaboos University held their third meeting yesterday morning (Sunday) at the meeting hall in the ministry of education.

Buraimi governorate directorate celebrated yesterday morning the Teacher’s Day. It was held at the directorate theatre under the auspices of His Excellency Dr.AbdelMiom ben Mansoor Al Hasni, Minister of Information and in presence of director general of education in Al Buraimi governorate Mosa ben Ali ben Mohammed Al Hinae and governor of Al Buraimi Ibrahim ben Said Al Busaidi.

Ministry of Education and Organization of America – Middle East for Education and Training Services (AMIDEAST) renewed yesterday morning memorandum of understanding for the next five years in order to provide and implement programs in English language and cultural and education programs and students exchange between the Sultanate and United State of America.
