Members of the delegation of the program “Educational Visitors” in New Zealand met with specialists from University of Auckland which hosts the program that include teachers, supervisors and specialists in the field of special education from various governorates in the Sultanate.
Students participating in the summer training program which is named “Ghayatoh” continue their activities in Muscat governorate.The program is implemented and sponsored by Oman Oil Company and supervised by the National Center for Vocational Guidance in the Ministry of Education. Al Namaa Consultancy Company was assigned to plan, implement and evaluate the program to be applied for the rest of governorates.
Minister of Education Dr.Madiha bent Ahmed Al Shibaniah chaired in Al Bustan Palace Hotel the regular meeting with advisers and director generals in the ministry and in governorates. In the meeting, Dr.Madiha welcomed the attendees and thanked them for the great efforts they have done during the academic year. 
Her Excellency Dr.Madiha bent Ahmed Al Shibaniah, Minister of Education met at the Ministry Their Excellencies Head and members of the education and culture committee in Al Shura Council in presence of Their Excellencies advisers and undersecretaries of the Ministry and a number of director generals.
The workshop “Strategic Options for Educational Development in Arab Countries” was concluded on Wednesday morning. The workshop was organized by the international Bank in cooperation with Ministry of Education represented by Rehabilitation and Training Division in the directorate general of curriculum development and also in cooperation with the Islamic Bank for development. The workshop lasted for 10 days.
Members of the education committee in Al Shura Council visited on Tuesday the electronic marking center for general diploma certificate in Imam Al Muhanna ben Sultan School in Busher and exam books scanning center in Imam Jaber ben Zaid School in Watayya. They were accompanied by His Excellency Saud ben Salim Al Balushi, Undersecretary of Ministry of Education for Educational Planning and Human Resource Development. 
Microscopic Network Project is one of the most important projects that have brought a qualitative change in teaching biology in school laboratories. In this context, director general of South Batinah directorate, Nasser ben Abdullah Al Abri and the executive manager of external relations of Oman LNG, Sheikh Ali ben Salih Al Hashar signed on Tuesday morning 19/6/2012 microscopic network project for the governorate schools. 
A celebration was held on Monday evening under the auspices of Dr.Madiha bent Ahmed Al Shibaniyah to honor excellent employees in various directorate in the Ministry of Education and governorates. 207 of excellent employees were homered in Majan Hall in Al Bustan Palace in presence of Their Excellencies undersecretaries and advisers and a number of invitees.
Ministry of Education represented by Directorate General of Educational Programs, special education division has begun on Saturday the training course for English language teachers in Montessori way of teaching which lasts from 18th of June till 24th of June. 15 English language teachers from Al Amal School for deaf and Omar ben Al Khatab for blind participated in this course.
The National Center for Vocational Guidance and AMIDEAST celebrated the end of global leading program. The program is supervised by the Holland embassy in Muscat. The celebration was held at Muscat College in Bushar. The global leading program is organized by AMIDEAST in cooperation with the National Center for Vocational Guidance.
Directorate general of Scouts and Guides celebrated delivering GCC necklace, appreciation necklace and international rehabilitation leadership medals of wooden emblem for leaders, their assistants, training leaders and scouts and guides leaders from various governorates in the Sultanate.
Ministry of Education organized during the period from 30th of June till 18th of July the summer program for school students which is implemented for the fourth consecutive year in the governorates. The summer program will include more than 10 thousands students, 100 students in each center in 106 centers around the Sultanate.

Ministry of Education represented by Arabic Language Curriculum Development Section in the Directorate General of Curriculum Development organized yesterday (Tuesday) an educational meeting about the methodology to author a new Arabic Language book for grade four basic. The forum was held at the training centre in Al Khawair.
Ministry of Education represented by the National Center of Vocational Guidance signed a contract with Oman Oil Company to implement the summer training program (Ghayatoh) for school students in collaboration with Al Namaa Administrative Consultancy Company.
