HE the Minister of Education visits Two Schools in the South Al Batinah Governorate

HE Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al-Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, and her accompanying delegation, conducted a field visit to two schools in the Directorate General of Education in the South Al Batinah Governorate. The visit included observing the school environments, meeting with administrative and teaching staff and students, and closely examining the reality of the educational process.

The visit began with a visit to the building of Hind Bint Osaid Al-Ansariyah Basic Education School (10-12) in Barka, where she conducted a field tour of the school building facilities to learn about the most prominent challenges it faces, especially those related to construction aspects, infrastructure, and safety requirements, and discussed with specialists the solutions and proposals that contribute to enhancing the quality of the school environment and raising the level of safety and comfort for the students. The tour included a visit to a number of classrooms, where she observed the progress of the lessons, the teaching methods used, the interaction of the students within the classrooms, and listened to the observations and suggestions of the teaching staff, which focused on supporting the educational process and improving educational practices. HE praised the efforts made by the teachers and school administration in monitoring academic achievement and providing supportive activities for the students.

HE the Minister, then visited Ma’awla Bin Shams Basic Education School (5-12) in Wadi Al Ma’awil, where she visited a number of classrooms, followed up on the teaching methods used, and reviewed a variety of educational initiatives and student projects. The students presented the environmental projects they are implementing, including sustainable agriculture initiatives, recycling, and activating environmentally friendly practices within the school, in addition to awareness programs aimed at instilling the concept of sustainability in the students. HE the Minister of Education praised the student and administrative efforts in the field of environmental awareness, stressing the importance of promoting a culture of sustainability in schools, and the role of such initiatives in developing students’ skills, building responsible environmental awareness, and encouraging them to be creative, innovative, and work as a team.

This visit comes as part of the Ministry of Education’s keenness to directly monitor the progress of the educational process, ensure the readiness of schools, listen to the needs and observations of students and teachers, in addition to monitoring the implementation of modern educational programs and curricula, and strengthening direct communication channels between educational leaders and the educational field.
