The Minister of Education receives Director of the World Bank Office in the Sultanate of Oman
HE Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, received Wendy Warner, Director of the World Bank office in the Sultanate of Oman, and her accompanying delegation, in the presence of a number of ministry officials.
At the beginning of the meeting, HE the Minister of Education welcomed the guest, praising the efforts made by the World Bank office in the Sultanate to support areas of educational development. The two sides discussed a number of common topics, including the financial challenges related to providing the infrastructure for government schools, and building new schools to ensure education for all, and to contribute to replacing “evening schools”.
The meeting also addressed areas of educational cooperation between the Ministry and the World Bank, aiming to strengthen efforts to achieve desired educational goals. The guest commended the Sultanate of Oman's developmental achievements across various sectors and expressed her support for enhancing existing cooperation between the two sides.
